Many start-ups face the challenging search for an investor, perhaps because they really can't make progress without investment, but perhaps also because they believe that investment is part and parcel of founding a start-up.
However, the search for investment is often not easy and is also associated with many challenges. That's why we always invite investors and startups to the Fireside Chat so that they can share their experiences. This time, we will be looking at the topic of VC funds. You can learn more about the expectations of VCs, gain insights into the investment process and talk to us about the differences to business angels. We have invited two exciting guests, Christian Horneber and Marco Witzmann, who already have a wealth of experience in this area and can draw on a broad network and knowledge.

Christian, Managing Partner of Bremen Fond
Christian took over the fund management for the Bremen Fond this year and scouts start-ups in Bremen and beyond. Prior to this, he worked for more than six years as Senior Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) Investment Manager at NWZ Digital, the investment holding company of the Nordwest Mediengruppe, and held a professorship at the Jade University of Applied Sciences. He can not only provide exciting insights into the expectations of VCs, but can also talk about business angels from the inside, as he has also been Chairman of the Board of Business Angels Weser-Ems-Bremen for several years and is on the advisory board of various start-ups.
Marco, Co-founder and CEO of Valispace
Marco has experienced the challenges of founding a company himself and knows what it takes to convince investors of a vision. With Valispace, he has not only built up an innovative company in the field of hardware development, but has also successfully mastered financing rounds. With Valispace, they have gone through several financing rounds and also convinced VCs and built long-term partnerships with them.
